Parent: Every community deserves to have a health center

I would like to share my gratefulness for a wonderful, top notch health center. The staff at Cherry Health’s Cedar Springs School Health Center are both knowledgeable and friendly. They serve both my child and our community in various ways. From athletic physicals to treating strep throat, children can now have their basic health care needs met right at their own school! This helps to decrease absenteeism.

The location is convenient for families, and children can be seen without missing a lot of school. I’m so excited they recently expanded the program to accept families and household members of the children they serve. This will help the underinsured population as well as be more convenient for families with limited transportation.

Every community deserves to have a health center, which is why I love to share it with all I come in contact with.

There is a quote from George Orwell which says, “If you want to keep a secret, you must also hide it from yourself.” Cedar Springs Public Schools has a well-kept secret by having Cherry Health on its premises. I certainly wouldn’t think of hiding this from myself or our community. Every community deserves to have a health center, which is why I love to share it with all I come in contact with. Thank you!
