About Us

The School-Community Health Alliance of Michigan (SCHA-MI) is a collaboration of individuals and organizations representing and supporting school-based and school-linked health centers and programs. Through our actions, commitment and passion, we support the belief that all Michigan children and youth have a basic fundamental right to access and receive comprehensive primary health care and prevention services.

Equip Child and Adolescent Health Centers to support the health and educational outcomes for children and young people through advocacy and technical assistance.

        • Partnership Cultivate relationships with superintendents and principals, foster connections with like-minded state associates, and collaborate with ISDs to align visions.  Learn more

        • Advocacy Advocate for higher-needs districts to secure more funding, explore weighted funding options, empower parent activism, guide centers through political challenges, and ensure a seat at the table for all decisions impacting centers. Learn more
        • Innovation review post-COVID program requirements, recommend necessary changes to the state, advocate for practical reforms, research innovations, and incentivize CAHCs to experiment and share successful outcomes. Learn more
