Seeking Board Nominations from the CAHC Field



Greetings CAHCs Colleagues;

The School Community Health Alliance of Michigan (SCHA-MI) needs YOUR help! More importantly we need your guidance, insight and voice.  SCHA-MI’s Board of Directors has several vacant seats coming up over the next few months and we would like to encourage individuals from the CAHC field to apply for those positions.

SCHA-MI’s Board of Directors is a 13 member board that provides vision and strategic direction for the association.  Board Directors are responsible for hiring and conducting the annual review of the Executive Director and provide on-going support to the Executive Director who oversees the operations of the association. The Board meets every other month and as needed by telephone.

SCHA-MI represents more than 80 CAHCs and school wellness programs across the state and has a staff of 4 people. More importantly they are strong advocates for ensuring that Michigan’s school-aged children and youth have access to health care and preventative services.  They work closely with  state departments, the state legislature, federal policy makers, etc.  SCHA-MI’s office is located in Lansing.

Your voice, passion for your work, and your commitment to serving children and adolescents along with  your work with schools and communities is important and essential to SCHA-MI’s Board of Directors. Please consider applying for a Board of Director position and encouraging other colleagues to apply along with others who support and value CAHCs and children and youth.
